What is the best way to win at sit and go texas holdem poker?

The best way to win at sit and go is to play small hands in the beginning.
I have found that as the game goes on other players have settled down into their rhythm and are less likely to throw down big blinds.
I tend to play  only big pairs at the start such as A-K Q-Q A-Q and pairs that come up. If I have low pairs I tend to stick it out and not re raise until the flop and turn has been played.
