Why do people seem to blame God for tragic events and not give him credit for that which is good?

Answer:

I think people blame God because they have run out of other people to blame.
Whereas if we have good fortune or good luck, as humans we like to take the credit.
I just think some people find it easier to put all the blame for tragic events to someone outside themselves.
If a tragic event is so large that its hard to understand why it happened, isn't it natural to think that some higher purpose or person was masterminding it all.
